If you cancel your Smore paid subscription, your account will remain on your current paid plan until the end of your billing period.
Once your subscription expires, your account will automatically move to Smore’s free experience.
From Smore for Teams/Educator Plans -> Free Plan
What happens after my paid Educator plan ends?
- Your account will move into a 90-day free view-only period
- Your newsletters will remain live and accessible
- Your analytics will still be available
During these 90 days, you will not be able to:
- Create new newsletters
- Edit existing newsletters
- Send emails from your account
What happens after the 90 days?
- Your account and newsletters will be permanently deleted
- Your content will no longer be recoverable
- We’ll send reminder emails before your account reaches deletion so you have time to decide whether to upgrade or save your content.
From Smore for Teams -> Individual Educator Plans
When downgrading from a Team plan to an individual paid plan, your account will transition out of the Team environment, and certain team features will no longer be available. This includes:
- Collaboration with other Smore users will no longer be available
- Access to shared folders and other team members’ newsletters will be removed
- HTML embed links for use in external mass communication systems will no longer work
- Brand Kits will no longer be available for managing consistent district or organization branding
- Previous newsletters will remain in draft form but will no longer be editable, and data connected to those newsletters will no longer be accessible
- Email sending limits will be reduced under the new account experience
In addition:
- Quotes and purchase orders are not available for individual accounts
- Dedicated Customer Success support is not included outside of Team plans
When your Team account expires, you can still continue with Smore by purchasing an individual plan through our website using a credit card.
